We're supporting our client, a multinational tech giant to find a Technical Project Manager with a background in Smart Buildings, IoT, or control systems. This is a 12-month contract offering 98k per annum + bonus, pro rata (PAYE).


What you'll do:


-Proactively identify stakeholders and work with them to strategize, plan, and prioritize objectives and success criteria, estimate task durations, and ensure schedules and dependencies are aligned and support those objectives within an organization.


-Define, organize, and manage the activities that lead to the outcomes of a project, what, who, when, and how.


-Adjust "levers" (e.g., schedule, staffing, features) to deliver results on time.


-Effectively monitor and communicate progress, risks, and mitigations.


-Align stakeholders on decisions and changing circumstances.


-Measure and publish program and process metrics to drive consensus in teams' understanding of issues, and to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.


-Leverage the Continuous Improvement approach including the ability to identify and implement process improvements for the larger group or organization.


-Seek out and apply relevant best practices from other processes and technologies.


-Given a set of problem spaces, proactively identify and implement technical and business programs and processes in a medium to large work groups, and drive ideas and solutions to address.


-Organize ambiguous projects into clear longer-term (6+ months) objectives.


-Forge and maintain effective program teams within and across an organization, understanding and addressing their needs and health, and supporting them throughout their lifecycles.


-Guide team alignment on the integration of the timelines, goals, and deliverables of related projects and teams.


-Manage escalations and unblock constraints and dependencies.


-Possess advanced planning and project management skills and break down programs and processes into components that could be executed by junior team members.


-Leverage the best methodology for each team (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to make teams most effective.


-Demonstrate advanced communication management skills, including writing and presentations, and represent the programs from business, product, and technical perspectives.


-Exhibit advanced relevant domain knowledge required to perform a job (e.g., Networking Protocols, Payments Infrastructure, OS Ecosystem, Release Management, Cloud Computing).


-Demonstrate technical understanding to the degree required and be comfortable working with engineers and with technology.


Requirements


Mandatory:


-Senior-level experience leading multiple teams and strategies.


-Technical background in Smart Buildings, IoT or control systems -Leadership experience including portfolio management, engineering, deployment, and operations


-Knowledge of IT systems and how to engage closely with IT and cyber security teams related to Iot or control system


-Demonstrated ability to work with and lead internal/external cross-functional and partner teams to develop scope, project plans, budgets, and schedules


-Demonstrated experience in delivering large-scale projects on-time, on/under budget, with a clear emphasis on on-time delivery and quality


Desired:


-Demonstrated experience in procurement and negotiation with 3rd parties for vendor or managed service delivery


-Industry certification in at least 1 of the Smart buildings, control systems, IoT, and IT.


-Ability and flexibility to travel internationally when required
