Job Description

General summary The Digital Communications Manager will oversee FIA's social media channels, draft member updates, produce podcasts and generally support FIA's communications department. You should bring strong writing skills, knowledge of social media platforms and analytics and, preferably, experience with managing websites on the Drupal platform.

Supervision
The Vice President of Global Communications supervises the Digital Communications Manager.

Responsibilities
Social Media:
Lead FIA’s social media strategy.
Manage FIA's social media presence, mainly on LinkedIn.
Write, produce and publish social media content
Manage short-term and long-term schedules
Measure engagement through data
Have familiarity with digital media tools (Canva, Hootsuite, Sendible, etc.)
Editorial
Provide editorial direction for the daily SmartBrief
Write weekly/monthly member updates
Write news-style articles for publication on FIA.org, including same-day content from FIA-branded events
Website
~ Update FIA.org with comment letters, news articles, revised text and various content needs from across the organization.

Reputation Management
Help monitor press inquiries
Track media mentions of FIA
Follow important industry news developments.
Additionally, the Digital Communications Manager will collaborate with the Marketing Department on brand guidelines, support the distribution of marketing-related content and coordinate on plans for promotional posts related to events.

Required competencies
Experience in an editorial/communications environment for a professional/business audience
Experience of generating and monitoring social media activity in line with an organization’s key priorities and objectives
Experience working in a web publishing environment and managing an editorial calendar
Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
Educated to degree level
Familiarity with financial or commodities markets preferred
FIA observes a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Employees may work remotely on Mondays and Fridays

Salary - £45,000-£50,000.
