Digital Delivery Consultant: Defence & Security
Location: London, Bristol or Manchester
Clearance: All applicants must hold UK security clearance to Developed Vetting level (DV)
Salary: £55,000 - £85,000 (DOE) (+£15k Benefits Package)

Our projects vary greatly and your responsibility as a consultant will differ based on the focus of the client engagement and your skillset, but could include and may require you to:
- Apply DevOps thinking—i.e., bringing development and IT ops processes, people, and tools closer together—to increase the speed, efficiency, and quality with which we deliver technical solutions to our clients.
- Architect a project or programme's Deployment Pipeline, the set of technical and business assurance activities that support the transition of application and infrastructure services from development to production.
- Support in defining and executing a balanced management methodology that is capable of organising a diverse collection of technical activities into a coherent workstream
- Liaise with Deloitte and client development teams, IT service groups and 3rd parties to encourage process transparency, mutually beneficial design and delivery practices, and a clear view of roles and responsibilities across the Deployment Pipeline.
- Provide DevOps thought leadership and mentoring in both advisory and delivery contexts, focusing on the requirements of our client's customers and how these are best served by continuous improvements to our delivery approach.
- Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.
Candidates will have hands on experience with one or more technologies relevant to these areas:
- Professional experience in delivering scalable cloud solutions on popular cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure.
- A clear understanding of cybersecurity practices to secure confidential cloud-based infrastructure.
- A clear understanding of DevSecOps best practices and delivering efficient paths-to-production (e.g. infrastructure-as-code, continuous integration, continuous deployment, release automation).
- Professional experience in delivering containerized cloud applications and cloud-native architecture.
- Professional experience in working with popular CI/CD stacks (e.g. Github, BitBucket, Jenkins, GitLab, SonarQube, Nexus, Helm, Docker, CircleCI Chartmuseum, Kubernetes + ArgoCD).
- Implementation experience with one or more scripting tool and language, e.g. bash, Python, Groovy
- Implementation experience with Puppet, Chef, Ansible or Salt
- Linux systems administration certification at RHCSA (or equivalent experience) level
- Experience in configuring SRE tooling for monitoring and alerting live systems, e.g. Dynatrace, CloudWatch, Zabbix, ELK
- Experience of working within an agile development environment and working knowledge of agile software methodologies such as Scrum, XP & Kanban.
- Experience working in multi-supplier technical and commercial project environments.
- Previous experience as a developer beneficial but not essential.
