Digital Manufacturing Engineer (Chesterfield)

We are currently seeking experienced Digital Manufacturing Engineers (3+ years of experience) to manage and lead technical activities on digital manufacturing and automation projects. As an Endorsed AVEVA System Integrator, applicants with experience in AVEVA products, including AVEVA MES, System Platform, InTouch, Batch Management, Historian, or Skelta BPM will have an added advantage.


This is a full-time staff position based in our Chesterfield office, with an excellent salary and benefits package.


Responsibilities/ Duties

  • Leading the build, configuration, validation, and delivery of cutting-edge digital manufacturing systems.
  • Liaising with customers to gather and translate project and process improvement requirements into functional design and detailed design documentation.
  • Database design and development in Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
  • UX design and development in Angular, C#, Javascript, and ASP.Net Core.
  • Designing and developing production reports in AVEVA Historian and AVEVA PI System.
  • Providing technical and automation operational support to Engineering, Manufacturing, Validation and Facilities departments.
  • Co-ordinating and supporting project commissioning activities.
  • Enforcing technical and project execution best practices.
  • Mentoring and training of junior engineers.
  • Working closely with customers to identify areas for process improvement through automation and data analytics technology.
  • Researching new technologies and trends in Digital Manufacturing.


Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience

  • Experienced digital manufacturing engineer with 3+ years’ experience in AVEVA (Wonderware) products.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Instrumentation/ Information Systems or related field.
  • Database design and development experience in Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle.
  • UX design and development experience in Angular, C#, Javascript and/or ASP.Net Core.
  • Web programming experience; including JavaScript, CSS, JSON, JQuery, Web API, HTML5 and/or REST API.
  • Report Writing experience in AVEVA Historian, AVEVA PI System or similar.
  • PLC Programming/HMI/SCADA experience desirable: Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider, etc.
  • Experience working with validated Automation systems in the Food and Beverage or Pharma manufacturing environment.
