Job Description

As part of a small team that focusses on our corporate members the Digital Marketing Executive will be responsible for developing social media campaigns to support event promotion and Rail Forum initiatives. They will maintain and update the Rail Forum website with relevant content, support the wider team with their membership engagement activity and help with event management. This post is best suited to someone who wants to develop a career in the business to business world; as an industry body we engage with around 400 different corporate companies and numerous other stakeholders including local and national Government, civil servants and Ministers.

The Digital Marketing Executive is responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering social media campaigns to promote Rail Forum events – before, during and after the event.
  • Support event promotion with some limited graphics design.
  • Support development of flyers for advertising upcoming events.
  • Monitoring Rail Forum’s Linkedin and X accounts, replying and interacting with posts we have been tagged in and capturing member post information for inclusion in our weekly newsletter.
  • Update Rail Forum website including monitoring event bookings and cleansing as required.
  • Preparation of wider social media campaigns to drive member engagement and to promote Rail Forum’s wider initiatives.
  • Support team with general day to day enquiries such as checking to see if booked on an event, changing names on event bookings, updating data on Mailchimp, resetting access or arranging log in details for Members area
  • Assist with preparation for an event such as name badges.
  • Assist with finding out details of industry events to include on website (external events) and on weekly newsletter.
  • Occasional support for Events & Marketing Manager with preparation of weekly events newsletter.
  • Support team with preparation of quarterly update.
  • Update Rail Safety week website and manage social media campaigns for Rail Safety Week.
  • Seek out member news for those who aren’t actively sharing press releases with us or tagging us (using salesforce analytics) and support weekly newsletter by adding member news to the website that can quickly be added to the newsletter
