Job Description

GLL, is seeking a creative and technically skilled Digital Product Designer to join the marketing team. This is a unique opportunity to shape intuitive and engaging digital experiences that enhance user interactions and meet business objectives. As a key player in the marketing team, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality design solutions. This two year, fixed term contract role requires a blend of creative vision, technical expertise and a deep understanding of user behaviour.

We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of four years in a digital product design role, demonstrating a solid portfolio of digital projects and competence in both UX and UI design principles.

  • Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and technologies.

  • Confidence in managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

  • Experience in managing relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.

  • Ability to work closely with internal teams to deliver projects effectively.

  • Capability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.

  • Keen attention to detail in all aspects of design and execution.

What You’ll Do:

In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading and managing a range of marketing activities to promote GLL’s purpose and foster community engagement. Your key duties will include:

Collaboration and problem definition:

  • Collaborate closely with the Product Manager, engineers, and other team members in a cross-functional setting.

  • Actively participate in defining customer and business problems to ensure a comprehensive understanding of project objectives.

Design process leadership:

  • Lead the end-to-end design process, including wireframing, prototyping, and iterating on designs.

  • Ensure that design solutions are refined, intuitive and address user needs while paying attention to every detail.

User-centric design culture:

  • Champion a user-centric design culture within the team and across the organisation.

  • Advocate for the importance of understanding user needs and aligning design decisions with business goals.

User testing and research:

  • Conduct user testing workshops and in-depth research to gather insights and generate innovative ideas.

  • Ask the right questions and bring forward new ideas based on user feedback and research findings.

Implementation and presentation:

  • Collaborate with technical teams to implement designs and ensure their feasibility.

  • Present final design solutions during design reviews, effectively communicating the rationale behind design decisions.

Continuous improvement:

  • Review the performance of released products, identify learnings and propose enhancements.

  • Actively seek opportunities for improvement and contribute to the ongoing refinement of design processes and methodologies.
