Job Description

Role: Digital Supply Chain Communications Lead Duration: 12 months Work Location: Remote although Scotland is preferred. Or close to London 1HQ, have the ability to attend Scotland when required but will be limited Main : Procurement background Supply chain background Corporate Digital Transformation Financial institute Comms Lead with Change exp Purpose: The Communications lead will own the Supply Chain & Procurement Digital Supply Chain Programme (DSC) communications & stakeholder engagement strategy & plan to deliver innovative and engaging communications campaigns & stakeholder engagement events to inform, engage & motivate people to successfully make the transition to new ways of working. This will be achieved by working with the Transformation Programme Office, Programme Leaders, Communications thread leaders, other thread leaders e.g. Change, People and Skills, third party support to the programme and business stakeholders. The role will report to the Head of Communications, Global Supply Chain & Procurement and be an integral member of the Supply Chain & Procurement CR team. Skills Accountabilities: • Create the DSC communication and stakeholder engagement strategy & plan & coordination of all programme communication activities across the programme and amplify through the components of the programme. • Maintain and evolve approved DSC narrative, key messages, benefits & communications blueprint to underpin communication activities covering cultural, process & functional & stakeholder viewpoints. • Evolve messages, sharing successes to ensure regular drumbeat of news on the programme. • Identify, utilise or create effective communication channels for deploying communications for senior stakeholders and the business applying a global, and local perspective ensuring that we are role modelling the digital change through our engagement with all stakeholder groups. • Coordinate the deployment of communication campaigns to engage stakeholders & impacted business communities for adoption of DSC ways of working • Design & deliver programme engagement events to foster strong stakeholder engagement through two-way interactions • Lead Comms leads for programmes and Category/ Function teams to effectively localize and cascade DSC communications to intended communities. • Introduce / leverage the power of data & analytics capabilities to measure effectiveness of communications from message reach & channel effectiveness & take remediation actions as needed. • Collaborate and align with the Programme Thread teams to incorporate key messages on behavioural / cultural changes into learning content as well as the wider client communications community to achieve goals. • Support the DSC Programme Leadership Team in performing engagement activities • Where required, manage the third-party service provider in their communications remit & own progress reporting & issues and obstacles removal deliverables for the DSC programme. Education Qualifications & Experience: • Degree educated in relevant business or subject. • Extensive experience in planning and managing communications campaigns & creating content that successfully supports people through change for complex transformational projects, ideally ERP / IT-enabled-Track record of working with or managing third-party providers to steer, input and collaborate to achieve project goals as one team. • Excellent skills in programme communication content development • Experience in stakeholder event delivery and operating with senior stakeholders. • Strong knowledge of corporate communication channels and ability to innovate to generate excitement and increase engagement • Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills and ability effectively target and tailor the message and medium to various audience groups to achieve intended outcomes. • Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and ability to deliver high-quality communications in compressed timelines • Proficient in using a variety of tools to develop plans and communications content (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Viva Engage, Teams, etc.) Barriers: • Inability to adopt and deploy a range of influencing styles • Low resilience and inability to operate successfully in a fast-moving environment-Inability to establish mutual trust or display cultural sensitivity • Inability to work with third party service providers to lead and collaborate on delivering communications • Inability to work as a team, sharing content, aligning inputs & outputs-Inability to meet milestones through insufficient stakeholder and risk management
