Lloyds Bank Foundation has been standing side by side with small and local charities for nearly 40 years. Small local charities play a key role within their communities and they have a deep understanding of the needs and aspirations of the people they support. We partner with them by providing multi-year unrestricted funding and a comprehensive range of tailored capacity building support, developed with and for small charities. We recognise that many of the issues small local charities are tackling are deep rooted: that's why we've developed a range of impactful approaches with local partners to help charities become more resilient so they can keep doing what they do best.
Supported by Lloyds Banking Group, we make a lasting difference by leveraging what we learn from those we support and advocating for wider positive change to policy and practice. We've committed to improving our organisation so we can be a better partner to those we serve: from truly embedding diversity, equity and inclusion in every aspect of our work, to making decisions with people, charities and the communities they support. Our new Director of Charity Development role sits at the very heart of our priorities and, for the first time ever, we're bringing together all our direct support to small and local charities into one place.
In this role, you will champion best practice, push boundaries across the funding and support sector and drive our commitment to innovation. We're looking for someone who understands how to make the most difference to the impact of small charities and the lives of the people they reach. A thorough knowledge of the power and potential of funding and capacity building support is essential, and we're looking for someone passionate about small and local charities. But you don't need to come from the grant making world itself.
With a naturally open and inclusive style, you will build trust quickly and have a proven talent for bringing people and organisations together. We can build a far more just and compassionate society and your work will underline our presence at the forefront of development and support for the small local charities society depends on.
