PMR is conducting a confidential search for a Block Management company seeking a Director of Asset Management. This is a strategic role where the successful candidate will be responsible for Estates Management, Repairs and Maintenance and Compliance functions. The Director of Asset Management will form part of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to business strategy, decision-making and inspiring the wider workforce.

The Role

The Director of Asset Management will be responsible for leading both internal and external teams to execute the management strategy. The successful candidate must have industry-wide knowledge and a proven track record of setting best practice and modern working practices within growing and established onsite and office-based teams. The Director of Asset Management will have overall responsibility for delivering the management strategy, showcasing commitment to customer service and resident safety.

The role is based in the London offices and has hybrid opportunities however, an office presence is preferred.

The Person

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, analytical and possess the following qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of residential property statutory requirements and service in line with government guidance and legislation.
  • Experience dealing directly with local authority, HSE, fire service and building control bodies.
  • Relevant technical and health and safety qualifications and ongoing CPD in both facilities and development management areas.
  • Strong people management experience, demonstrable experience in coaching and developing multiple teams at a junior through senior level.
  • Highly experienced in change management, navigating multiple teams through business transformation.

In addition, the successful candidate will have interpersonal skills, including patience, tolerance, tact, diplomacy, and empathy. They must be confident and assertive, with the ability to work under pressure and have a good sense of humor. The Director of Asset Management must be willing to undergo training, take responsibility for getting things done, and have a hands-on approach.

The Package

The salary is £85,000 - £95,000
