This educational organisation is currently seeking a Director of Finance to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis. Based on-site in West London, this senior management level role you will hold critical oversight of Finance and Facilities, whilst also working very closely with the rest of the Senior Management Team to drive the organisation forward and boost the performance of all the organisation’s functions.
The key duties of his Director of Finance role are as follows:
- Mange a wider team of four, across Finance and Facilities, conducting regular one-to-ones, providing leadership and providing opportunities to enable them to progress in their careers.
- Sole charge for producing financial working papers with supporting commentaries for presentation to the Board of Governors.
- Close liaison with the Chief Executive and Senior Management Team, keeping all parties up to date on financial performance of the organisation, highlighting any risks and opportunities as appropriate.
- Take the lead in the production of the annual budget and the longer-term finance plans.
- Ensure that all financial controls and process across the organisation are robust and fit-for-purpose.
- Full responsibility for the production of both the management and statutory accounts, ensuring all deadlines are met in a timely fashion.
- Hold critical oversight of all things Facilities, in addition to acting as the lead for Health & Safety across the site.
This Director of Finance role is the perfect opportunity for a fully qualified professional with previous experience in a number one or two role who is now looking for a new challenge and the opportunity to influence both the operational and financial sustainability of an organisation in the short and long term.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a number one or two finance role of a similar nature.
- Ideally, a background working in the education sector, but this is by no means essential.
- Demonstrable experience of working in a strategic capacity.
- Brilliant communication and interpersonal skills.
- Achieved their full accountancy qualification, although candidates who are QBE with relevant experience will still be considered.
