Civitas Recruitment are delighted to be working with a fantastic children's charity who provide practical, tangible help making a difference to young people aged 18 and under. This includes grants for specialist disability equipment and wheelchairs that are not available through statutory services. The charity's programmes are child focused and respond specifically to the individual need of each child or organisation. An exciting opportunity exists for a Director of Finance and Operations to join the charity. As Director of Finance and Operations, you will provide strategic financial and business services direction and oversight across the organisation. The post holder will lead on financial planning, management and reporting and work closely with the Chief Executive. This is a full time, permanent role, hybrid office based in Camden, London. 4-day week pro rata option maybe considered.
Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have a relevant finance qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) and 5 years or more relevant experience at senior finance management level. Candidates will have a good understanding of the principles underpinning financial planning and of demonstrating impact and value for money. You will have a proven track record of effective leadership and management, maintaining a strong and motivated team and contributing to strategic planning processes.Strong IT skills including experience of accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or equivalent is essential for this role.A good understanding of charity finance and governance would be highly desirable however this is not essential for the role. Ideally you will have experience of overseeing corporate functions including HR and IT and be conformable working with a board and external suppliers.
