Location: Sheffield, UK (Hybrid: Flexible working arrangements)
Salary: Up to £90,000 per annum
Are you a seasoned IT professional with expertise in Cyber Security, Data Compliance (GDPR), Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and Cloud Engineering (AWS)? We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Director to lead our dynamic team based in Sheffield. This role is ideal for someone with experience in growing technical teams, particularly within a small to medium-sized business environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- the strategic planning and implementation of IT initiatives alongside our CTO, aligned with business goals.
- Cyber Security measures, ensuring the protection of our systems and data.
- compliance with data regulations, particularly GDPR, and implement best practices for data governance.
- data engineering projects, including data modeling, ETL processes, and data pipeline development.
- data warehousing solutions, optimizing for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Cloud Engineering efforts, leveraging AWS services for infrastructure and application needs.
- and develop the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- with stakeholders to understand technology needs and propose effective solutions
Required Skills and Experience:
- experience in IT leadership roles, ideally within a small to medium-sized business environment.
- in Cyber Security strategies and practices.
- knowledge of data compliance standards, particularly GDPR.
- experience in data engineering, including data modeling, ETL processes, and data pipelines.
- in designing and managing data warehousing solutions.
- experience in Cloud Engineering, particularly with AWS services.
- communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- in growing and developing technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- certifications in Cyber Security, Data Engineering, or Cloud Computing (e.g., CISSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
