Elim Village operates two exceptional aging in place communities for older adults. Our retirement villages are located in Surrey and Chilliwack, B.C., where over 1,000 seniors call Elim Village ‘home’. Job Summary

The Director of Marketing provides strategic oversight to the brand, communications, and sales components of Elim Village. Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Marketing is a member of the senior management team and is responsible for developing effective strategies to establish, promote, and maintain Elim’s brand and image within the Senior Living marketplace.

The Director of Marketing is an integral member of the management team, and is required to have a personal commitment to preserving and advancing the Vision, Mission, and Values of Elim Village. As such, they are required to sign Elim Village’s Statement of Faith and Philosophy of Care.

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will have a strategic understanding of the mission of Elim Village and a(n):

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field or equivalent
  • Understanding of real estate contracts—in particular Life Lease—is considered an asset
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in senior level leadership positions
  • Understanding of not-for-profit societies and operations
  • Experience within the Senior Living continuum (Long-Term Care, Assisted Living, etc) is considered an asset

  • Experience in digital marketing forms including social media, web design, and content marketing
  • Strong ability to articulate organizational mission and direction

  • Builder of strong effective relationships founded on respect and trust

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall leadership of the marketing, sales, brand, and communications areas of Elim
  • Design and develop marketing strategies based on up to date research and analysis of market trends
  • Help determine the feasibility of new or existing projects
  • Develop and promote initiatives ensuring consistency with the Elim brand and organizational goals
  • Ensures all program and service offerings of Elim are consistent from a brand perspective
  • Works with the marketing team to review and adjust ongoing marketing activities as needed
  • Direct input into Life Leases; disclosure documentation, sales, resales, and pricing
  • Actively involved in designing, determining, coordinating, and achieving results with marketing policies, procedures, strategies and their execution
  • Manages all aspects of strategic public and community relations related to marketing such as:
    • Media relations
    • Publications
    • Advertising
  • Works with the CEO to establish key public relation strategies consistent with the mission and strategic goals of Elim
  • Provides input into upcoming construction from a marketing perspective
  • Be a positive contributor to senior management team meetings

Notes

  • This is a full-time position
  • Attendance at special events outside of regular working hours may be required on occasion
  • Travel to our Garrison Crossing community (Chilliwack) will be required
  • Wage Range: $100,000 to $120,000 per year
