Our client is a global leader in the banking industry and is looking to recruit a Director of Retail Operations for their UK banking arm. Based in their Head Office in London, the organisation is looking to strategically expand their consumer footprint across the retail and online channels, with substantial investment being provided.
Reporting to the UK Managing Director, the successful candidate will be required to critique the existing plans with a view to developing them further and delivering them to a successful implementation on time and on budget. In addition, overseeing the existing retail infrastructure will be a core part of the role, constantly reviewing and identifying potential areas of improvement in both the online and retail environments. Although the online team is based in London, the retail operation encompasses over 120 branches and a substantial amount of travel around the UK may be required.
The ideal candidate will have a background of leading substantial retail operations including online elements, preferably within the financial services industry, or a similarly heavily regulated sector. Delivering to targets and budgets is essential, as well as being a proven leader and having experience of overseeing the management of hundreds of staff.
