Job Description
A leading food-to-go manufacturer are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dispatch Manager to join the night shift team.
As the Night Shift Dispatch Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of food products to customers. You will oversee the entire dispatch process, coordinating with various departments to guarantee on-time delivery and exceptional service. Your organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage a team will be vital in meeting delivery targets and maintaining high standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the dispatch operations, including scheduling, routing, and tracking of deliveries.
- Coordinate with production, warehouse, and transportation teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
- Optimize delivery routes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production team to ensure adequate stock availability for timely dispatch.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, such as food safety standards and transportation guidelines.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for dispatch operations.
- Lead, train, and develop a team of dispatch personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
- Resolve any delivery-related issues, such as delays, discrepancies, or customer complaints, in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to dispatch operations, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in dispatch management, preferably within the food manufacturing or distribution industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with various stakeholders.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Proficient in using dispatch management software and other relevant tools.
- Sound knowledge of transportation regulations, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet tight deadlines.
