Burman are supporting a London based client appoint an EDI Partner and would consider interim and permanent candidates.
Job Purpose: Provide expert, strategic advice on embedding equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) across the University. Design and implement EDI initiatives to align with the University’s strategy, values, and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead EDI design and support leadership teams in integrating EDI into organisational practices and policies.
- Evaluate and influence EDI initiatives, ensuring compliance and alignment with University values.
- Oversee compliance with key legislative and regulatory EDI obligations.
- Act as an EDI subject matter expert within HR, promoting consistent practices.
- Deliver quality Equality Impact Assessments (EIAs) and provide related training.
- Recommend and implement evidence-based improvements in EDI performance.
- Enhance the University's EDI reputation through wide consultation and stakeholder engagement.
- Advise HR on EDI in recruitment, career progression, and operational activities.
- Research and share best practices in EDI to ensure legislative compliance.
- Use diagnostics to increase employee engagement in EDI initiatives.
- Drive equality charter action plans and facilitate cultural change.
- Ensure compliance with external Higher Education EDI requirements.
