Within this role, you will spearhead the planning and delivery of captivating drama lessons, curate stunning school productions and performances, and provide invaluable guidance and support to our incredible students. To excel in this position, you will need a solid foundation in drama education, exceptional communication skills, and an unwavering love for working with young learners.
Responsibilities
- Teach dynamic drama lessons to students across various age groups
- Create and implement engaging drama curriculum, incorporating elements of improvisation, scriptwriting, and performance techniques
- Direct and oversee school productions, guiding students in their performances
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support for individual development
- Organize drama clubs and extracurricular activities to engage students outside of the classroom
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering creativity and collaboration
- Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in drama education
- Bachelor's degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Drama Teacher or similar role
- Strong knowledge of drama techniques, theatre history, and contemporary performance styles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passionate about inspiring and motivating students
- Organized and able to manage multiple responsibilities
- Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to the needs of different learners
- Experience in directing school productions (preferred)
