The purpose of the role is to develop and deliver people management strategies which support the company's overall strategic aims and objectives. The role contributes at both a strategic and operational level in order to identify HR priorities and recommend appropriate people management solutions which support business aims, in addition to providing a customer-focused HR shared service. The role provides expert professional advice and support to managers and employees on all aspects of people management, which fully reflects current employment legislation and best practice.
Duties for this role will include, but are by no means limited to:
- Prepare and implement the annual HR strategy to support the overall strategic aims and objectives of the Board
- Provide support to the Head of Talent in the recruitment of all employees
- Work closely with senior and line managers, providing them with expert guidance, coaching and support on the full range of HR activities
- Keep up to date with legal developments and advise management on compliance and risk factors
- Manage all ER processes, TUPE, Redundancies, etc.
- Develop, implement and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure effective, fair and consistent management of employees
- Ensure that employees are informed and updated on key business and organisational issues
- Follow up individual development needs and source external training provision as and when required
- Make recommendations on a cost-effective management development programme to support people management strategies
- Effectively oversee, manage, support and develop the HR team/function
This key role will require someone who has a great work ethic and can communicate with people at all levels throughout the business. You must be collaborative and act as a role model within the Agency, while bring driven to deliver .
