THE ROLE

The E,C&I Technician will form a key component of the on-site plant maintenance team tasked with carrying out both preventative and reactive works and ultimately helping to ensure the highest levels of availability for plant production.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To plan and carry out planned preventative maintenance on all plant and equipment aiming to achieve maximum plant availability, with zero unplanned down time, along with other Maintenance tasks as instructed
  • Assist with ensuring all maintenance equipment is regularly checked and is compliant with HSE regulations and that any defects are reported
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within the workshop and the rest of the facility
  • Adhere to all Health, Safety and Environmental legislation at all times
  • Maintenance, calibration, and fault finding on electrical equipment and instrumentation at the operating asset
  • Working with the company CMMS (Maximo) to assure accurate maintenance records, and comprehensive asset data information


REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCES

We are open to considering applicants from a range of different industry backgrounds, it's not essential to have prior experience in the Waste-to-Energy field.


We would however expect suitable applicants to have prior experiences of at least some of the following;


  • Previous experience in a power generation or equivalent setting (heavy industry)
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of E,C&I systems including VSD’s, distribution and various instrumentation
  • Involvement in plant mobilisation and commissioning is desirable but not essential
  • Working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legal requirements
  • Demonstrable experience working with Permit-to-Work systems
  • IT literate and able to use Microsoft package as well as bespoke software (experience of Maximo or similar CMMS)
