Electrical Design Engineer
Accrington
4 Day working week
£40,000 - £45,000 + OT (Total earnings £50k-£60k)
We are recruiting for an electrical design engineer to work on a permanent basis for our client based in Accrington, BB5.
The company is a leading design and manufacturer of production machinery. Often working on creating bespoke solutions across a variety of sectors.
The Electrical Design/Project Engineer will be working with customers delivering projects from cradle to grave. As such, international travel will be required 2-4 times per year.
The business operates on a 4-day working week Monday - Thursday. There is likely to be overtime available allowing the successful candidate to increase their earnings.
Key responsibilities for the Electrical Design Engineer:
Interpreting customer specifications and requirements to design and/or produce:
- PLC software using Siemens, Allen Bradley, Codesys (Beckhoff, Lenze, Bosch-Rexroth etc.) and/or Mitsubishi
- Motion control software (Allen Bradley, Siemens or Bosch-Rexroth)
- User interface software (Human Machine Interface / SCADA).
- Customer documentation, including manuals and operating instructions.
- Functional Design Specification
- Risk Assessment documentation.
- Electrical schematic diagrams, using AutoCAD Electrical, and/or Electrical Designer software.
- Documentation for electrical machine assembly and wiring.
Candidate requirements for the Electrical Design Engineer:
- Time served or HNC/HND or degree qualified electrical/electronic engineer
- Confident to work alone at a customers site
- Must hold a clean driving licence
- Preferably have knowledge of Web Transport/Winding equipment
