Company Overview:
I am working with a client that are renowned for their expertise in subsea technology and offshore projects. As the client embark on new ventures in the subsea cable lay sector, they are seeking a skilled Contract Electrical Design Engineer to join the innovative team. This 6-month contract offers a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking projects while enjoying the flexibility of an outside IR35 engagement.
Role Overview:
As a Contract Electrical Design Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing and developing electrical systems for subsea cable lay equipment. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our subsea operations. Your expertise will be critical in meeting project specifications and industry standards.
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in electrical design
- Experience in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical
- Electrical schematic drawing
- Knowledge of the offshore/subsea engineering industry is beneficial but not essential
- Knowledge of HV and LV systems
- Variable drive systems knowledge is beneficial but not essential
