Are you an Electrical Estimator looking to make an impact in a dynamic M&E firm? Look no further! We're seeking a talented individual to join our clients team based in Datchet. Position Summary:

The Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical projects. This role involves analysing project specifications, reviewing blueprints, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure comprehensive and precise bid proposals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Key Responsibilities: Estimate Preparation: Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates. Analyse blueprints and other project documents to gain a thorough understanding of the project requirements. Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labour expenses. Collaborate with engineers, and contractors to ensure comprehensive estimates. Cost Analysis: Research and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors for best pricing and quality. Obtain and review bids from vendors and subcontractors. Perform detailed cost analysis and develop accurate project budgets. Prepare detailed take-offs and quantity surveys. Bid Preparation and Submission: Compile and prepare bid packages, including scope of work, pricing, and schedules. Ensure timely submission of bids and proposals. Maintain a database of historical data for use in future estimates. Track and follow up on submitted bids to ensure successful contract award. Project Coordination: Assist project managers and engineers during the transition from estimate to project execution. Participate in pre-construction meetings and project handover meetings. Provide support during the project lifecycle, including change order management and cost control. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all estimates and related documents. Prepare regular reports on project costs and progress. Update and maintain estimating software and databases. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and regulations. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time management skills. Working Conditions: Office environment with occasional site visits. Some travel may be required.
