Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum plus Veolia benefits Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday with OT paid extra Location: Royal Berkshire Hospital, Craven Road, Reading, RG1 5BD

The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for the execution of the preventive and corrective maintenance program. Carrying out work as per schedule supplied by the Services Manager. Troubleshooting problems with equipment as directed by Site Supervisors. Fixed Wire Testing on a 3 year rolling programme across 40+ properties. Completing site documentation before and after work tasks. Liaising with subcontractors during planned service maintenance. Participating in the appropriate training. Carrying out risk assessments of equipment maintenance task list and ensuring these are always kept valid. Carrying out periodic reviews of EWI/SOP to ensure documents are always current and valid. Flexibility to work on equipment in all buildings and work around maintenance shutdown. Participating in audits of the Mechanical and Electrical plant rooms and follow up on actions required. Ensuring the CMMS system contains the most up to date information regarding equipment data, spares and maintenance hours. What are we looking for?
Electrical qualifications including C&G 2391-52 Inspection & Testing or equivalent. Experience and good understanding of the basic fundamentals of the various utilities systems (desirable) Good understanding of Preventive Maintenance Systems (desirable) Work within a computerised Maintenance Management Work Order system environment (desirable) Work within a documented Permit to Work System (desirable) Ability to read and understand P&ID's/electrical drawings (desirable) Understanding of basic instrumentation (desirable) Problem solver with a pro-active attitude (desirable) Our promise to you
