Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Alexander Steele is working with a leading food manufacturing business based in Suffolk. Our client is looking for an experienced electrically bias engineer to join the business on a permanent basis. The role holder will be responsible for testing and repairing equipment, both agricultural and production equipment. You will play a fundamental role in minimising downtime, ensuring product quality and operational efficiency.
What’s on Offer:
- Paying: circa £45,000 + £2,500 call out
- Company pension
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
- Working Hours: Monday – Friday (days) - 48-hour week
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on a wide range of production equipment, including conveyors, packaging machines etc.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic issues to minimise downtime and production interruptions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality.
- Conform to safety rules and apply good electrical and safety practices.
Background Experience:
- Qualified to NVQ level 3 diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing or processing environment.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certificate
- Strong organisational skills and an exceptional attention to detail.
- Full UK Driving Licence
