Electro Optical Programmer Permanent Full Time

On-site Based:Porton Down, Salisbury

Salary £35,000-65,000 - Dependant on experience
25 days annual leave inclusive of up to 3 days Christmas shut-down

Our Electronic Warfare Operations Support (EWOS) Group is made up of 40+ electronic warfare specialists. From all manner of backgrounds, our engineers, scientists and ex-military personnel combine their experience to help our customers achieve their true operational potential, and ultimately help keep their people and platforms safe.

How youll support us

Working primarily on-site with the wider project team, youwill be focussing and offering your expertise on the subject of Electro Optics (EO) and their effect on the modelling of weapons systems.

Were expecting that youve got hands-on experience in this field.

Knowledge:

Essential:
Degree level or equivalent in a Science or Engineering discipline (e.g.Mathematics,Physics or Engineering, inc Software Engineering).
A proven track record in programmingSimulinkand/orC++
Experience in the development of software and/or models, demonstrating sound software engineering principles (Simulink, C++) Identifying requirements, Configuration control, software management,verification & validation
Write, assure and document the code within models and analysis tools
Track record of delivering in a complex technical area with minimal oversite Ideally:

Good understanding of the physics behind sensors, dynamics, optics and lasers
EO domain knowledge and/or EO modelling experience (e.g. EO environments, EO Threat system understanding, EO countermeasure development)
Experience in real time, and faster than real time, software environments
Experience in use the models and tools in order to provide evidence data (Matlab)

Full UK Driving Licence
