Our client, a leading company near Harleston, is seeking an Electronics Design Engineer to join their team. As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing, delivering, and maintaining electronics system solutions to meet company and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design robust electronics systems aligned with the company's core product range and specifications.
  • Maintain and support existing electronics designs.
  • Perform schematic capture and PCB layout.
  • Evaluate new electronics designs through simulation tools and prototype testing.
  • Lead/support designs through APQP, including FMEA reviews.
  • Develop test fixtures for electronic product production.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for new products.
  • Develop test plans to ensure product compliance.
  • Write technical test or investigative reports as required.
  • Solve complex engineering problems, including customer queries/returns.
  • Maintain documentation standards related to electronic/electrical design.
  • Collaborate with the Project team to meet project requirements and schedules.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives.
  • Adapt to the changing needs of the company in alignment with strategic objectives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Essential:

  • BEng in Electronics Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong understanding of electronics hardware design.
  • Proficiency in Altium software package.
  • Ability to diagnose faults to component level.
  • Experience in Flex or Rigid/Flex board design.

Desirable:

  • MSc in Electronics Engineering.
  • Certified PCB Layout Designer (CID or CID+).
  • Familiarity with sensing technologies.
  • Experience in RF design (e.g., 433MHz, 2.4GHz).
  • Knowledge of simulation tools (e.g., LTSpice).
  • Ability to produce accurate documentation and technical reports
