Electronics Design Engineer – Product Design Support

Location: Bolton (Relocation Package available)

Work Arrangement: Flexible remote working available

Salary: Up to £55,000 depending on experience

The Role:

Are you an experienced Design Engineer? We want to hear from you! This phenomenal opportunity allows you to be part of our cutting-edge manufacturing facility. You will play a leading role, acting as the interface between teams in Stevenage and our manufacturing teams in Bolton. This is a true engineering challenge that provides scope for personal growth!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interface between the design team in Stevenage and the manufacturing team in Bolton.
  • Support the design, integration, and validation of test system hardware.
  • Define and specify test approaches, identifying potential improvements to test/diagnostic processes.
  • Lead work packages, manage assigned budgets, and mentor your team.

What We’re Looking for From You:

  • Significant proven experience in the design of Digital and Analogue electronics, preferably in the defence industry (but not essential). Experience with switch mode power supplies would also be an advantage (but not essential).
  • Excellent verbal communication, negotiation, and influencing skills with the capability to write clear and concise engineering documentation.
  • Ability to work well in a multifunctional and multi-skilled team environment, supporting knowledge transfer to/from colleagues.
  • Preparedness to work autonomously if needed, lead the delivery of your work assignments, and actively engage with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of your outputs.
  • Experience in supporting manufacturing and resolving manufacturing issues is an advantage, but not essential.

Security Clearance: Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to gain UK government security clearance. To achieve this, you must hold British or dual nationality.
