Position: Embedded Software Engineer
Salary: up to £60,000
Location of office: Derby
The Role: Our client, an innovative technology business in the Derby area are again growing their engineering team and as such are now looking for embedded software engineers to join their team. Our client are working on a host of new products, so this is the ideal time to be joining their growing the team. They are looking for like minded embedded software engineers who are passionate about software development and working with cutting edge technology in order to develop reliable, robust software solutions.
Skills and Experience Required:
C/C++ Programming
Embedded systems development
Development for microcontrollers - ARM family desirable
Full software development cycle experience
Relevant degree qualification - Engineering, Computer Science etc
Their ideal candidates will be strong writing embedded/firmware level software development in C or C++, have experience with bare-metal or RTOS design and have experience with microcontroller design (ARM family desired). You will be an all-round embedded software engineer and enjoy variety and daily design challenges in your role. Whilst any experience with MISRA compliance or working to unit test automation procedures would really make your CV stand out.
The successful embedded software engineer will be joining a small development team and will get the opportunity to work as part of a team whilst taking responsibility for individual projects. You will be working throughout the full design life cycle and there will be plenty of opportunity to develop new skills working on cutting edge projects including the chance to work with RUST, Python and Groovy.

Multi-threaded RTOS or Bare metal development
MISRA C compliance
