I am seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join a fantastic client of ours just outside of Cambridge.
This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your embedded software expertise and experience to diverse industry challenges and impact the technical direction of the software team and its output.
As a senior engineer within the Software or Systems group, you will play a pivotal role in new projects across various markets, including Consumer Products, Medical, Lifesciences, and Commercial industries.
Involving key tasks such as the following;
- Development of firmware for embedded systems with embedded code, such as C
- Employing wired or wireless communications, sensors, user interfaces and control.
- Development on both bare metal and embedded OS such as FreeRTOS & Linux.
- Definition of software system architecture, functional requirements, features and use cases.
- Development of high-quality code for production systems.
- Working with multidisciplinary teams to take products from initial concept through to delivery / transfer to manufacture.
Key skill Requirements:
- Development in Embedded programming languages such as C
- Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics
- Bare Metal and OS development (FreeRTOS/ Linux)
- Working with a range of Microcontroller/Microprocessor devices such as ARM/ STmicro
- Full Lifecycle design
Location: Cambridgeshire
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000
Contract Type: Permanent
