In this position you will take part in the design of advanced integrated embedded systems for trusted Guidance, Navigation and Control (GN&C) of customer cutting edge marine (subsea) robotic vehicles.
You will be challenged as a technical lead for architecture, systems design and programming in hard RTOS environments. Working in a matrix engineering organisation, you will simultaneously be a member of one or more highly skilled product and customer focused multi-disciplinary teams while also acting as a senior member in a team of software and embedded programmers; influencing strategy, tools and technology.
Professional project management is provided supporting focus on technical performance and delivery. You have a well-developed sense of keeping designs simple to achieve reliable of solutions. Key Responsibilities: Defining and maintaining embedded architecture, system design and technology in close co-operation with software developer, analysts, navigation system experts and HW engineers. Partner closely with other members across engineering to enable the fusion or our hardware and software with a focus on customer value, usability and system level performance. There will be some travel attached to this position but its not extensive and although there is no direct line management, you will be mentoring/training more junior engineers.
Non-UK nationals would have to have been living in UK for 5years to be eligible for security clearance.
