Job Title: Embedded Systems Engineer
Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum
Location: Nottingham (Nottinghamshire, East Midlands)
Hybrid - 3 days onsite & 2 days WFH

An established and hugely successful engineering company located in Nottingham (Nottinghamshire, East Midlands) who’re leaders in the industry sectors for Electrical, Electronics Manufacturing and IoT have an exciting role to hire for a brand new Embedded Systems Engineer to join the thriving team and business on a permanent basis.
Salary on offer:
The salary on offer for the successful Embedded Systems Engineer is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum. 3 days working onsite and 2 days WFH is available.
The role:
The Embedded Systems Engineer will be a vital member of the engineering team to design, develop and maintain software for use in the next generation of the company’s top class engineering products. This role will also include the Embedded Systems Engineer to have Embedded C focus and the ability or desire to ‘own’ a project from start to finish. Team member who is happy for work to be peer checked. Self-motivate.
Key Skills:
- 3-5+ minimum years of industry experience
- Experience working as an engineer for Embedded Software, Firmware or Electronics
- Embedded Software Programming in C, C++
- Network interfaces – SPI, I2C, USB, UART, CAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP
- Hardware Development – Electronics & PCB Design using Altium or similar
- Abilit to read schematics and component datasheets
Nice to have skills:
- Unit testing
- Python, Java, SQL
- Experience with designing software and/or hardware to IEC61508 Functional Safety standards.
- Experience with the internet of things (IOT and/or Industrial IOT).
- Experience with hazardous area standards such as IECEx Intrinsic Safety (IEC 60079-11).
