Locum Emergency Nurse Practitioner or Emergency Care Practitioner

Rates of pay from £41 per hour to £61 per hour (depending in shift type) Temporary, regular work available Days, evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays available. You will be working alongside the clinical team within the UTC or Emergency Department looking to provide patients with the highest level of clinical care in the most efficient time possible. At times you will be work autonomously undertake assessment and treatment of patients in the UTC who may present with complex and/or chronic illnesses and/or injury; to determine a clinical diagnosis, treatment and appropriate discharge as indicated as well as maintaining patient records.

The post holder will be a source of clinical expertise to less experienced staff, enhancing the nurses' skills and knowledge, and work in partnership within a multi-disciplinary team.

Skills and experience:

Assessing, diagnosing and deciding on the appropriate course of treatments for patients including plastering, suturing, reading x-rays and treating injuries.

Job Requirements
