This is an exceptional opportunity to become a part of a friendly yet ambitious law firm where you can develop your career as an employment law specialist whilst working on an exciting and busy caseload of high-quality work.
Sat within the wider Business Services Team, the employment team boasts one of the largest employment teams in the local area. As part of the team you’ll build your experience working collaboratively on some challenging matters while also running your own caseload of more straightforward cases.
Your day-to-day caseload will involve a mix of contentious and non-contentious work, acting for both businesses and private individuals. This role will offer you client contact from week one and regular exposure to things such as settlement agreements, drafting contracts of employment, disciplinaries and grievances, redundancy matters, employment tribunals, and corporate support work. You will also be expected to play an active part in the team’s business development activities, including attendance at seminars, training workshops, networking events, and writing articles for the monthly eBulletin.
As part of the role, you will receive supervision and extensive training to develop your knowledge and experience in our successful department. You will be empowered and responsible for your own clients and caseload as well as being expected to be involved in team, and firmwide, business development activities. Whilst having enjoyed employment experience before joining, most importantly we are looking for people with the drive and ability to learn as well as a passion for practising employment law.
