JOB TITLE: Energy & Infrastructure Projects Lawyer
PQE: 5+ Years

SALARY: £70,000 - £87,000 DOE

THE ROLE:
The successful Energy & Infrastructure Projects Lawyer will primarily be working as part for the firm’s growing energy and projects group working with public sector and private sector clients on a range of exciting energy and infrastructure projects and schemes, from roof top solar projects to heat networks and PPAs, as well as tidal, EfW, and carbon capture/storage projects. The group is also involved in a number of transport and rail projects. You will be working outside London through one of our clients’ network of national offices.
This role could be ideal for someone who is hemmed in by a ‘glass ceiling’ at their current firm and is looking to take the next step in their career. There are clear opportunities for career progression if that is what you are seeking.

You will be expected to work as a Principal Associate primarily mapped to the Energy Group, work and collaborate with members of wider projects and infrastructure group, take an active role in business development initiatives including training and networking, assist other lawyers in the team with their work as required including supporting lead advisers and the supervision of more junior lawyers and train, supervise and develop junior team members.

THE CANDIDATE:
You will be a qualified solicitor, 5+ years PQE, and you will have experience of collaborating with clients on a range of energy and infrastructure projects and schemes. As the role is varied, you will have to have a flexible approach to the work you do and be able to adapt to different tasks. The appointed Energy & Infrastructure Projects Lawyer will have a high level of commercial awareness, be conscientious, initiative-taking, hardworking, responsive, with critical thinking abilities and excellent communication, organisation and analytical skills and possess a methodical, organised approach. You must be enthusiastic about growth, generating work opportunities both internally and externally and passionate about operational excellence generating work opportunities through great service delivery and improving the client experience. The ability to work to strict deadlines, tight timetables, targets and client protocols is essential whilst maintaining high standards in terms of accuracy and quality. You will also have excellent diligence and concentration, excellent IT skills, ability to multi-task and prioritise, ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative and excellent collaborative and team working skills.
