Create Solutions that will enable a better tomorrow To grow our Engineering team in our Derby/London office, we are seeking an Engineer (Civil/Structural) to join us. By working on a diverse range of projects, you will have the opportunity to collaborate on some of the UK's most esteemed infrastructure programs. Additionally, should you choose to join us, we will provide assistance in your journey towards becoming a Chartered Engineer. Key responsibilities will be: Designing, checking and assessment tasks across a wide range of both new and existing structures Production of engineering design and details, undertaking checking or assessment work in accordance with project requirements Preparation of analysis models, calculations, written reports and other contract deliverables, and for checking similar work by other engineers Working closely with our CAD/BIM technicians to prepare 2D and 3D design drawings and models Delivering your work to a high technical standard, ensuring accuracy through a conscientious approach to self-checking Visits to site as required Your skills. This is a technical role which involves developing ties with others. And you never get set in your ways, but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve. On top of that, you will have: Have a Master's degree in either civil or structural engineering and aspire to become a Chartered Engineer with either the ICE or IStructE or an equivalent institution Have gained some post-graduate experience in a design environment working heavy civil or complex structures Be familiar with UK design standards or Eurocodes Have the inter-personal skills and aptitude to work collaboratively in a diverse multi-disciplinary team Have good communication skills, both verbal and written Be a technically efficient engineer, able to demonstrate a deep understanding and enthusiasm for structural engineering and a personal commitment to technical excellence
