Engineering Geologist | Renewable Energy & Infrastructure | LondonTGRC is currently seeking an experienced Engineering Geologist to join our team on a diverse range of renewable energy and infrastructure projects. This position is based in London and offers a dynamic work environment with the opportunity to contribute to sustainable project development.Position OverviewDuration: 12-month fixed-term contractLocation: LondonExperience: Previous experience in energy projects beneficialCompensation: £55 per hourJob DescriptionAs an Engineering Geologist with our team, you will be instrumental in assessing geological factors for project feasibility and safety. Your main duties will include:Geological Mapping and Sampling: Conduct field studies to collect rock and soil samples and create detailed geological maps.Site Investigation: Plan and execute site investigations, including drilling and earthwork examinations.Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze geological data using specialized software and compile reports to inform design and construction decisions.Risk Assessment: Identify geotechnical risks associated with project sites and suggest appropriate mitigation measures.Project Collaboration: Work closely with geotechnical engineers, environmental scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure that geological considerations are integrated throughout the project lifecycle.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all geological work complies with relevant environmental laws and regulations.QualificationsA degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.Demonstrable experience as an Engineering Geologist, preferably within the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.Proficiency in GIS and geological modeling software.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Eligibility to work in the UK.Application ProcessAbout TGRCTGRC is a specialized recruitment agency focused on connecting highly skilled professionals with leading companies in the renewable energy and environmental sectors.
