Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager with Gas experience to join our expanding successful business. You will be responsible for the design of multiple large gas projects within Europe.
As an Engineering Manager you will manage the mechanical and electrical engineering teams who are responsible for the operational delivery of engineering packages on UPS and Generator projects ensuring compliance with both project specifications and industry standards.
You will be working alongside our Head of Engineering in the development and improvement of engineering operations processes and best practices and supports the business development group. This role has responsibility for quality, process, and the high standards our customers expect.
Responsibilities
- To manage and take responsibility for the Engineering operations teams.
- Implement and monitor technical strategy performance metrics.
- Communicate engineer team goals with engineering staff members.
- Coordinate internal teams to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
- Reporting weekly and monthly to the Head of Engineering Operations as outlined in the KPI’s for the department.
- Ensure the Engineering teams follow the AVK Quality plan and meet all customer needs and deadlines.
- Oversee the design of and production of various schedules and systems in conjunction with project / client requirements.
- Provide Sales support in technical applications.
- Manage Engineering attendance at design meetings with consultants / clients.
- Attendance at Generator and UPS FAT, SAT and IST testing in UK and/or Europe, when necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or related field of study
- 5+ years' of management experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
