Engineering Manager
To c.£55,000 per annum (plus excellent benefits)

Surrey Police and Sussex Police work in collaboration in a number of areas including specialist crime and operations to deliver even greater efficiency and effectiveness, improving services and resilience at a reduced cost. This includes a joint operation across all estates services and property management working out of their two main HQs at Guildford and Lewes.

Reporting to the Head of Estates Services, the post has responsibility for all facets of M&E engineering, energy and environmental advice services, ensuring that a high-quality service is provided to customers across all service lines throughout Surrey and Sussex.

The Engineering Manager is a technical lead role undertaking ‘Chief Engineer’ responsibilities. You would be the technical expert for the Mechanical & Electrical and general property support contracts, working with the Maintenance Manager and Environmental Manager on contract performance monitoring, compliance, auditing, and general performance.

The successful candidate will possess a proven track record in delivering high levels of customer service across a similarly diverse and complex estate. You will be an adept leader, with strong people management skills who can develop effective internal and external relationships. This is a role that will suit ‘can do’ individuals with a high level of personal drive and energy.
