Job Title: Engineering Manager
Location: Stockport
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Benefits
Working Hours: 39 hours per week (Monday-Thursday: 8 am - 5 pm, Friday: 8 am - 1 pm)

The Role: We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager with a strong manufacturing background. This pivotal role offers a high level of autonomy and responsibility, focusing on asset management strategies, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives. As an Engineering Manager, you will collaborate closely with Manufacturing and Production Managers, ensuring minimal production downtime and efficient maintenance schedules for a diverse range of process equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and execute asset management strategies with a focus on lean/continuous improvement.
- Liaise with Manufacturing and Production Managers to minimize production downtime.
- Schedule planned and reactive maintenance for various process equipment.
- Manage and develop a team of engineers, including conducting appraisals and identifying training needs.
- Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience managing a team of engineers in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong background in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
- Ability to assess staff training levels and capabilities for development and management.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and upholding safety standards.
