English Graduate Cover Supervisor – Oldham Secondary Schools Are you a recent English graduate looking to start your career in education? Do you want to gain valuable classroom experience while inspiring students to develop their language and literature skills? We are seeking an English Graduate Cover Supervisor for secondary schools in Oldham. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your teaching and leadership skills, with potential routes into a teaching career. Key Responsibilities: Supervising English lessons when teachers are absent, ensuring students complete pre-set tasks. Managing classroom behaviour, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment. Supporting students with their English work, helping with reading, writing, and comprehension. Working with the English department to ensure lesson continuity and student progress. Encouraging a love of literature, language, and communication in the classroom. Ideal Candidate: A recent graduate with a degree in English Literature, English Language, or a related field. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students. Confident in managing classrooms and maintaining behaviour standards. Passion for English and a desire to make a positive impact in students' education.
