English Graduate Cover Supervisor – Oldham Secondary Schools Are you a recent English graduate looking to start your career in education? We are seeking an English Graduate Cover Supervisor for secondary schools in Oldham. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your teaching and leadership skills, with potential routes into a teaching career. Key Responsibilities: Supervising English lessons when teachers are absent, ensuring students complete pre-set tasks. Managing classroom behaviour, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment. Supporting students with their English work, helping with reading, writing, and comprehension. Working with the English department to ensure lesson continuity and student progress. Encouraging a love of literature, language, and communication in the classroom. Ideal Candidate: A recent graduate with a degree in English Literature, English Language, or a related field. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students. Confident in managing classrooms and maintaining behaviour standards. Passion for English and a desire to make a positive impact in students' education.
