Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative and engaging English lessons that align with the national curriculum
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated to learn
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and educational goals
- Attend and actively participate in meetings, professional development workshops, and school events
- Uphold and promote the school's values and policies, ensuring a safe and respectful environment
- Bachelor's degree in English or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK, or equivalent
- Proven experience teaching English to primary or secondary students
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum
- Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive learning environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to different learning styles
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with educational best practices
