Do you enjoy meeting the public? Do you have good Customer service skills? Then this may be the ideal opportunity for you.
You will be the initial point of contact to members of the public visiting the police station and will deal with a varied range of enquiries, providing help and advice, offering support and processing reports/details of crimes, road traffic accidents and other incidents.
The successful candidate should possess excellent communication and customer service skills, be able to remain calm when dealing with difficult customers, along with having good clerical/administrative experience. They should also be competent in using computer systems including Microsoft packages and the internet.
This post is working a shift rota (attached) which will attract a 12.32% Weekend Enhancement and 20% Shift Allowance. You may be expected to provide cover at other Neighbourhood Enquiry Counters occasionally as required.
Once in post you would be expected to undertake training of How to deal with aggressive situations and Customer Care.
