Environmental, Health and Safety Manager Description

We are working alongside our client in the Food Ingredients sector based in the UK (Wales) to hire an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager.

The client

Our client is a global leader in Specialty Food Ingredients manufacturing and producing Collagen and Gelatine supplying heavily into the Health Nutrition, Pharma, and Food markets.

Responsibilities:

1. To manage and coordinate all safety activities in order to provide optimal operating conditions for the site and to make sure the site stays operational.
2. Responsible for and advising on safety-related issues, in order to provide optimal operating conditions for the site and to make sure the site operates in accordance with Health & Safety regulations.
3. You will be required to support all areas of the business regarding environmental regulations and ensuring a safety-first culture, and provide training where necessary.
4. Responsible for assessing and advising on Health & Safety legislation and guidance that may affect the operation of the business.
5. Responsible for setting up a safety strategy and methods to improve the safety process to reduce job-related risks for all employees and third parties at the site.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Possess technical and hands-on Environmental, Health and Safety Manager with 5-7+ years worth of EHS experience.
• Track record of delivering Environmental and H&S improvements within a similar environment.
• Experience in a manufacturing facility/environment is a must.
• Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems (ISO14001).
• Possess Health and Safety Management certification.

Salary:

£50,000 + bonus
