The role

Sunamp is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Manager to oversee all aspects of health, safety and environmental practice and strategy. The successful candidate will have a accumulated a track record of working with organisations to achieve excellence and exemplar HSE management and practice – underpinned by the need for continuous improvement.


Within the role you will work with the team and the wider company to develop and maintain outstanding levels of health, safety and environment management in order to ensure full compliance of Sunamp’s moral, cultural and legislative obligations. To fulfil this, the candidate will need to realise the existing health, safety and environmental challenges in order to drive change. Having previously employed change programmes and delivered behavioural change, they will help to create and support a culture that is conducive and supportive of health, safe and environmental practice.


What you will need


  • A minimum of 5 years experience within a similar role
  • Degree in Occupational Health & Safety/Environmental Management or NEBOSH level 6 diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience of working within a manufacturing engineering and electrical environment is desirable


As the HSE Manager, it will be your responsibility to:


  • Promote and harness a HSE culture and mindset
  • Manage and maintain HSE management systems in accordance with the relevant ISO accreditations
  • Play a key role in setting organisational HSE objectives and driving the strategy
  • Implement H&S procedures and processes – from desktop to operational practice
  • Support the organisation with HSE training and guidance
  • Compile HSE metrics and data to aid problem solving and drive preventative actions
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is completed and supplied to relevant 3rd parties where necessary
  • Manage the audit calendars and supporting with any external and internal audits
  • Deliver relevant training to members of the team
  • Ensure systems are effective to meet legionella compliance
