Winit (UK) Limited is seeking to recruit an Equipment Maintenance Engineering Manager in a Challenging role to join our team and help us continue to deliver excellence at its new UK branch at Tamworth. Role Overview:

The Equipment Maintenance Engineering Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Maintenance Department, focusing on the maintenance and care of automation equipment such as robots, conveyors, and other machinery. This pivotal role ensures the efficiency, reliability, and continuity of automated warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering, with experience managing health and safety in an automated warehouse environment.


Key Responsibilities:


Team Management:

• Design and implement training programs to enhance team skills in automated systems maintenance, software usage, and safety standards.

• Schedule team shifts according to operational needs and maintenance urgency.

• Conduct performance evaluations, fostering individual growth and overall team efficiency.


Equipment Management:

• Ensure the efficient operation of automation equipment (e.g., robots, conveyors) and infrastructure.

• Oversee inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure equipment reliability and safety.

• Manage the procurement, storage, and distribution of spare parts and tools, maintaining optimal inventory levels.


Process Management:

• Develop and optimize management and operational workflows to improve team efficiency and maintenance quality.

• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and maintenance standards, reducing accident rates.


Environment Management:

• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including spare parts storage, to foster a safe and efficient working environment.

• Address and improve environmental factors affecting team efficiency and equipment performance.


Health and Safety Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and regulations, particularly for automation equipment and robotics maintenance.

• Foster a culture of safety awareness, providing regular training on operational safety and emergency response.

• Develop and execute emergency response plans to minimize operational impacts and safety risks.


What you will need:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Automation Systems, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Computing Systems, or Mechanical Engineering.

• At least 3 years of progressive experience in automation equipment and team management.

• Knowledge of automated process machinery (e.g., conveyor systems, stacker cranes, autonomous mobile robots).

• Ability to interpret electrical circuit drawings.

• Proven ability to manage health and safety within a technical environment.

• Strong leadership can guide the equipment maintenance team members to implement equipment maintenance standards, and in-depth analysis of the root cause of equipment failure, to ensure efficiency.

• Planning capability, capable of systematic equipment rating and equipment maintenance plan formulation.

• Master electrical principles and mechanical knowledge are also preferred.

• Be familiar with the automation control principle of the sorter system.

• Effective spare parts management and cost control

• On the Job training will be provided
