Description
Our client, a global investment management firm is seeking to recruit an Equity Research Analyst to primarily cover the global Oil & Gas sector.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed bottom-up equity analysis of specific companies in the Oil & Gas sector
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and develop an in-depth investment thesis for recommendations
- Generate investment ideas for inclusion in relevant portfolios
- Present compelling and well-articulated investment ideas to express convictions in research conclusions
- Keep research up to date for companies already in the portfolios
- Regularly interact with company management and produce investment notes on earnings calls, conferences and management meetings
Candidate Requirements
- Relevant equity research experience on the buy-side or sell-side
- Relevant work experience and knowledge of the oil & gas sector
- CFA Charterholder or working towards qualification
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Willingness to embrace a long-term, fundamental investment process
- Good team player who is able to work within a collaborative, results orientated working environment
- Self-awareness and the humility to admit and learn from mistakes
