- required for our client in Surrey that operate within the civil engineering and construction sector, both commercially, in bespoke domestic projects and in agricultural groundworks.
The Estimator will be working on a range of projects such as Road and footpath construction, Fencing, Landscaping and planting, Land drainage, Highway, Infrastructure and large ground works projects.
If the candidate has a HNC or above in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying or Construction Management field it would be, advantageous however, a good overall knowledge of the Construction and Civil Engineering sector with experience as an Estimator is essential.
The Estimator will be dynamic and progressive looking to progress their career in a role that will offer them opportunities to work on a huge array of unique projects.
Estimator Position Overview Dealing with new enquiries and quoting work Site visits Liaising with contracts managers and Q.S regarding pricing, procurement, delivery and program Client liaison, inclusive of initial site visit, detailed and timely quotations, following up of quotations, liaison with the contract manager during the project, discussing specifications and allowances during the project and communicating variations with the client Preparation and collection of variations, valuations, and final accounts Interaction with office personnel and covering other areas of the business as required Assisting with the building of a schedule of rates Reporting into Senior management to allow for invoicing and cost management Dotted line management of graduate QS Estimator Position Requirements Good knowledge and grounding of construction/groundworks/civil engineering Ability to estimate/price jobs Sub contractor background Must have good tenure and be looking for a long term role Looking to work on a range of interesting unique projects Driving licence Estimator Position Remuneration Salary £40k + 28 days Holiday Pension scheme Use of company vehicle for site visits Free onsite parkingBennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
