PERFECT CANDIDATE are pleased to be working with a leader in the global automotive aftermarket, who are looking to add a motivated European Sales Manager to its high performing team. The clients core function is the development of software and hardware technologies for modern vehicle diagnostics and calibration.




THE ROLE


This role requires daily B2B interaction, business development strategy, new product go to market skills, people management, comprehensive reporting, and customer service mastery. To be successful, you must have a people and customer-centric mentality, strategic thinking, strong work ethic, and bring a passion to win every day. You should be able to create urgency with your team, customers and prospects, while working to be a trusted advisor. This position reports to the Director of Global Sales and Marketing.


ABOUT YOU

• Higher education qualifications, Degree in Business Studies is preferred.

• Knowledge of the latest product, market, competitive and industry trends.

• Expert level Customer Service and listening skills.

• Self-starter with energy and motivation to nurture customers and close sales.

• Leadership.

• Keen interest in emerging automotive technologies and/or automotive aftermarket knowledge

• Be an automotive enthusiast.

• Ability to document notes thoroughly for effective follow up with prospects and customers.

• Ability to identify and resolve personnel and customer concerns quickly.

• An outgoing personality who thrives in new and unfamiliar situations.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Sales, business development and/or client engagement skills at the owner/operator level.

• Proficiency with mobile apps, PC, Microsoft Office suite, and other common sales tools.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required (and applicable).

• Have excellent oral and written communication skills, detail oriented.

• Be highly motivated to work in an established, yet entrepreneurial and dynamic environment.

• Fluent in English written and verbal - additional languages an advantage.


MAIN DUTIES


• Be the leader of the area, accountable for the success of the team.

• Lead the sales team, providing guidance and resources for targets achievement.

• Develop detailed sales strategies and deploy it converting in revenues.

• Create and monitor along with the sales team a comprehensive sales funnel/pipeline.

• Maintain and expand existing customer network.

• Prospect, identify needs, provide industry insight, and convert leads into new business.

• Nurture and maintain long term relationships with each account.

• Track sales trends and results, developing action plans to achieve targets.

• Achieve monthly and yearly targets being able to explain positive and negative trends.

• Submit weekly activity reports, prepare monthly and quarterly reports.

• Monitor and enforce discount policies.

• Communicate with all business areas building a positive environment within the organisation.

• Monitor competition, gather marketplace information on pricing, products, availability, etc.

• Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive landscape.

• Be the voice of the customer.

• Be the voice of the company.

• Resolve customer complaints by investigating concerns, developing solutions, and making recommendations to upper management when trends are identified.

• Maintain a thorough understanding of company product portfolio and competing products.

• Create enthusiasm among prospects by displaying the value in company products.

• Attend and work assigned trade shows, races, and other promotional events.
