ROLE OVERVIEW:

Reporting into the Guest Services Director, the Event Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Guest Services. Responsibilities will include the management of; the guest management systems; ordering and distribution of gifts; accommodation and transport logistics; planning and execution of special events; overseeing the hospitality experience and understanding sponsor and rights-holder requirements to feed these into the wider team.

The Events Manager must boast international event experience and an understanding of the professional golf ecosystem, its stakeholders, rightsholders and suppliers. They must boast strong personal motivation, and be comfortable working remotely and unsupervised, and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. A keen eye for detail and ability to work to tight deadlines with excellent communication skills.

Tasked with delivering core aspects of the event, and supported by Senior Performance54 Management, the Events Manager must be comfortable managing a variety of relationships and have the flexibility to travel internationally, and the ability to work in different cultures.



KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Report to and support the Guest Services Director and the wider Event delivery team
  • Management of the Guest Management system and Guest Programs
  • Management of Sponsor and Rights Holder guest requirements and work with the relevant team members to create an extraordinary guest experience. Including but not limited to:
  • Development of the Guest Management System
  • Understanding all guest travel and accommodation plans
  • Gifting requirements
  • Accreditation requirements and distribution
  • Pro-Am and Special Events attendance
  • Management of accommodation contracts and bookings for selected guest groups
  • Create an extraordinary guest experience at all contracted hotels, ensuring all guests have an enjoyable experience from check-in to check-out
  • Co-ordinate with the wider team to arrange welcome desks and hotel branding
  • Management of event catering and hospitality offerings with the support of other Event Mangers/Executives
  • Management of Special Events and Private Functions to create an extraordinary guest experience. Including but not limited to:
  • F&B requirements
  • Planning documentation
  • Liaising with suppliers and support staff
  • Floor plans, AV, branding and staging
  • Management of all ground transport including but not limited to:
  • Airport procedures (customs, meet & greet)
  • Airport transfers
  • Car hire management
  • VIP chauffeur services
  • Shuttle transfers between event locations (routing and schedules)
  • Mass movement of people for functions
  • Work closely with other Events Managers to ensure alignment across all Guest Services
  • Source, negotiate and contract 3rd party suppliers to support all guest services
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure there is alignment with the overall Guest Experience and management of events budgets
  • Be and excellent communicator and team player
  • Consistently provide guidance and mentorship to Event Executives
