Technical Events Manager


The Opportunity


Do you have a strong grasp of audio-visual production technologies across the events spectrum? Have you driven the agenda when it comes to the development of additional multimedia-based products and services, for example looking at ways to innovate webcasting services, broadcast platforms, streaming technologies, video conferencing etc.? Are you a hands-on Technical Events Manager who has the experience in running and delivering live, virtual and hybrid events from end-to-end? If so, then this opportunity could be just what you’re after.


The Role


  • Hands-on development and implementation of corporate events across live, virtual and hybrid formats.
  • Have a strong awareness of innovative tools and applications for meetings and events and drive the development and use of these additional multimedia-based products and services.
  • Demonstrate an ability to lead complex projects and events, when it comes to AV production and broadcast streaming equipment and software.
  • Continually look to bring in the latest production technology, broadcast platforms and players, advising where the business should develop and grow.
  • Help clients determine the best solutions to meet their needs of each event, for example live experience design, presentation management and production, network infrastructure and codecs/streaming formats.
  • Coordinate lighting, sound, video, set and staging, electrical infrastructure for all events.
  • Price and run projects commercially ensuring all quotes correctly reflect the level of service that is being delivered.
  • Plan and manage the resourcing of projects over the year, identifying pinch points and gaps in the schedule.
  • Manage the database of suppliers and contractors who can be called upon to provide additional support on project and events.
  • Follow correct processes and workflows, ensuring all documentation is correctly completed and filed.


The Person


  • A proven track record in delivering in-person, hybrid, virtual and on-demand streaming events, ideally withing a corporate setting.
  • Possess excellent organisational, planning, management, teamwork and communication skills.
  • Have a good knowledge of AV production tech; lighting, video, sound, web streaming technologies, satellite distribution and broadcasting.
  • Have an appreciation of presentation technology and theatrical stage craft for delivering live events.
  • Be clued up on latest developments within all areas of live events (branding, set theming, VR, AR, AI, web and film, and auditory and sensory landscapes etc.)
  • Understand media servers, web compression technologies, and browser compatibilities.
  • Good knowledge of encoding software (Wirecast, FMLE etc.)


The Details & Perks


  • Permanent contract.
  • £60,000 - £70,000 per annum.
  • Based central London, hybrid working with majority of time in office / at events.
